Photography & filming

This applies to every Boot Scooting Society class, session, event and booking.

We regularly take photos and video at our sessions and events. By attending, you agree that The Boot Scooting Society may photograph and film you and use that footage for its own promotion, including on our website, social media, advertising and marketing material, without payment or further permission.

If you'd prefer not to appear, just let us know on the day and we'll do our best to keep you out of shot. For private and corporate bookings, the client is asked to pass this on to their guests.

Public sessions & ticketed events

These terms apply to our weekly classes, pop-ups, hoedowns and any event you buy a ticket for, whether through Humanitix, Eventbrite, TryBooking or another platform, or pay for at the door.

Tickets, transfers & refunds

• Tickets are non-refundable, but you can transfer your ticket to another person.
• If we cancel a session or event, you'll receive a full refund.
• Where a specific event or ticketing platform lists its own terms, those terms also apply.

Taking part

• Boot scooting is a physical activity. You take part voluntarily, at your own pace and to the level of your own comfort and ability.
• Please let the instructor know about any injury or condition that might affect you, and sit out whenever you need to.
• Wear comfortable footwear you can dance in safely.

Venues, alcohol & safety

• Many of our events are held in licensed venues. Alcohol is served by the venue under its own responsible service of alcohol obligations, not by us. Licensed-venue events are 18+ unless stated otherwise.
• For everyone's safety, we may ask anyone who is intoxicated or behaving unsafely or disrespectfully to sit out or leave.
• Venue rules, facilities, food and drinks are the responsibility of the venue.

Event booking terms — private & corporate

Booked us for a corporate event, team building day, Christmas party, hens or private function? Your booking is covered by our event booking terms. Your booking is confirmed once full payment has been received, and payment by any method confirms you have read and accepted these terms.
